FAKE Tuning does it exist?
Yes and it is surprizingly common, mainly carried out by one or two companies and their dealers.
In many cases the dealers are doing it through lack of knowledge rather than intent, but of course the end result is the same i.e. the customer has paid to have their vehicle remapped but in fact all they have recieved is fresh air.
There are one or two individuals/companies that have been doing FAKE tuning for many years, and most surprizingly getting away with it, in many cases because they were also able to provide a rolling road print out to suggest the car had been given the extra power claimed.
The individuals behind this scam would blatently deny any wrong doing and argue black was white, that anyone suggesting any wrong doing was simply jealous of their success. On the surface you would believe they were very successful because of ability and knowledge, when in fact the real reason couldn't be further from the truth.
